About Us
We are you, and you are us!
The Food Science Association (FSA) is run by a democratically elected group of students - representatives from each year of the course - whose aim is to make sure that university isn't just a pile of books and hours of study. University can also be heaps of fun!
The FSA is quite simply the social arm of the Food Science student community, a select club, of which we are all automatically members! The benefits of the association are available to each and every student the moment we enrol in Year 1! How cool is that???!!
Being students of Food Science and Technology has many benefits, most especially with the size of our school community. The ability to get to know each other on a social level is so much easier than in larger schools where it can seem you are just a number. In our school you will never feel lost - that is if the FSA has anything to do with it!
Besides the purely social aspect of the FSA, there is an academic side to us as well. Afterall, we know that eventually exams and assignments will take priority, and a balance is reflected in this website. If you want a head start in research for the odd assignment or research paper, or simply want to expand your general knowledge in this field, hopefully we can point you in the right direction with the links to relevent food science-related info provided on this website.
